Breaking News: “Uniform of Success” Program Kicks Off

Hollywood actor and veteran advocate Gary Sinise has teamed up with dress clothes retailer Jos. A. Banks to offer business suits to veterans transitioning from the military to the civilian working world. Sinise, best known for his character “Lt. Dan” in the blockbuster film “Forrest Gump,” has been a long-time supporter of veterans and the military. The “Uniform of Success” program is yet another way the actor and an American business are giving back to those who served.
Jos. A. Banks has had a successful run with their promotional campaign called “Buy One, Get Two Free” in which a customer will receive two free suits with the purchase of the first. The company decided that their promotional strategy may also have charitable benefits and decided that veterans and military members transitioning from active service could benefit from receiving business suits. After deciding their direction, they reached out to Mr. Sinise knowing that his foundation, the Gary Sinise Foundation, may be the right organization to help give the suits to veterans in need.
“Buy 1 – Get 2 – Give 1” is the programs tagline. Anyone who buys a suite between July 1 and 7 will be able to participate in the program. Not only will you get your two free suits with the purchase of the first, but Jos. A. Banks will donate a suit to a veteran through the Gary Sinise Foundation. “We are humbled by the sacrifice out veterans make every day for our country,” said R. Neal Black, CEO of Jos. A. Bank. The company has been providing business attire to professionals for over 100 years, now they hope to help veterans write their own success stories as business professionals after their active service comes to an end through the “Uniform of Success” program.
For many veterans, the uniform of their branch of service is the only “business suit” they’ve ever worn. Purchasing a civilian business suit can be a difficult but necessary task when making the transition from the military to the civilian working world. Business suits are common practice and are essentially required for a successful job interview. Veterans are compelled to make a suit purchase in order to snag their first post-military career. Although reputable companies like Jos. A. Banks can help make that purchase easier and lighter on the wallet, it can still be a hefty sum to cough up for someone in between income sources.
The “Uniform of Success” program is specifically tailored to provide veterans and transitioning military members with success in their job hunt. A new suit, clean resume, and good attitude will help ensure that a new career is secured after your transition.
Veterans and business professionals alike are encouraged to participate in the program as we celebrate and give thanks for our independence this 4th of July holiday. Visit your local Jos. A. Banks location, get a great looking suit for your professional career, and help give a leg up to a veteran in need. From the ConvertingMilitaryExperience.com staff, we extend a large “thank you” to Gary Sinise and Jos. A. Bank for their charity and assistance of veterans.
